Re: C5 X7 engines
So are there any currently available vehicles in the UK that use the ES9 engine?
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Re: C5 X7 engines
Nope.
The only v6 readily available in the UK that was V6 was the c5/6 with the 3.0 hdi which was joint psa/ford derived.
I do wonder if you special ordered you could get the v6 petrol as it would be a smaller and lighter engine compared to the hdi.
I may well be wrong but I'm sure in the last year or two the v6 hdi was dropped from the c5.
It's a shame they never offered the newer 2.2hdi with auto box as well in the c5.

They certainly have. I obtained a copy of the latest C5 brochure (haven't got it to hand of course!) and the only engines available at the moment are the 1.6 and 2.0 HDi enginesKP wrote:I may well be wrong but I'm sure in the last year or two the v6 hdi was dropped from the c5.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
