Xantia fuse box and ECU box clip

Post by Stickyfinger »

Hi guys......the things you discover whilst fiddling :)

My fuse box is distorted and the lid does not fit very well along the back edge (it is fitted correctly inside)....the "other" cars also have this problem, did they ever fit ?

Also, I am missing a clip (? metal) on the ECU box, again missing from the other cars, got a photo ?

Cheers

The engine bay fuse box covers on all the Xantia's I've seen don't fit very well and seem to be distorted. As to whether it was like this new, I have no idea - the newest Xantia I ever owned was 8 years old!

Guessing that you are referring to the clip that holds the throttle cable? if so, I think that it was only fitted to RHD Mk1s with A/C (and probably only petrol engines).

Nope, the clip on the leading edge of the ECU box to keep the lid on.

The fuse box can be awkward to refit correctly, so if an impatient mechanic has force fitted badly in the past they tend to take a set in that position, never to fit well again!
Now using '00 Xantia LX HDI, pov spec :(
