One day I may get to ride in a car with 17inch wheels, I would like to know how an Activa rides on them.

One of the things that made the Vel Satis handle ( Along with ESP) was 245/45/18 rubber.
For a 1.8 ton car that thing was pretty impressive. Rough ride at rear through the town ruts mind.
Standard Xantia V6 was more agile though.
On a lighter note, the base C5 Donk is about as nimble as a B52 Bomber  great old thing!

About the same as 15" wheels I'd imagine Alasdair, that's forwards, backwards, round corners and in some comfort...

You forgot the occasional sideways movement .............paRRP !

Quick general question from a dummy.....?
How much distortion do you get to the tread area (bulge) with over inflation, how much effect would say 10psi have in proportion to the reduction in flexibility ?

In fact, when setting up the Lexia must see the butterfly properly closed...
Did you ever check your throttle body Jim :0

Yes it's definitely a trend setter but a costly one every time you need them balanced.

Anyone tried Renault dealers for parts? I would presume they have their own parts network, entirely independent of PSA - and if they operate the same principles as Nissan, then there would be very good hope! (I can still get parts for my '86 Sunny  )

Only just catching up on this thread.
Sticky, you are mad - that is work well beyond reason  (though I've seen plenty do similar on preludes etc.).

I would expect that throttle butterfly to be completely normal. They are not going to be an absolutely airtight seal and the injection ECU sees the position based on the TPS, which is just driven by the spindle of the butterfly, nothing to do with pressure difference across the butterfly itself (he says, actually knowing nothing about the PRV engine and just assuming it's the same as all other cars! )
