I am asking for help on the best gasket material and thickness to make a flat flange joint for the oil cooler to oil filter body. Citroen & Peugeot only list this gasket for the 1.4 & 1.6 HDI engines which do not have the same oil coolers or joint faces as the 2.0 HDI DW10CTED4. After market oil coolers for this engine also do not come with this joint gasket. From the number of posts I have read on this and other forums about my problem of "engine oil in coolant header tank" this would seem to be a problem on oil filter cooler assemblies fitted to lots of HDI engines so will also put the same post on the Peugeot forum.
Thanking you for any help you can give.

Re: DW10CTED4 oil cooler gasket
Hi,Have now changed oil cooler on my 3008 HDI 150, it was not easy as you have to drop the Air conditioning compressor out of way for access and its a 2 man job to lock the Aux belt tensioner. The good news is that after 500 miles my coolant still looks clean of oil contamination. I was wrong about the gasket being a flat face flange joint, they are round and oval square section seals luckily still in good condition. Please can anyone identify a part number or supplier of these from the pictures attached as I may have to replace them next time an are not listed in Peugeot parts.
Thanks for any information.

Re: DW10CTED4 oil cooler gasket
Hello myglaren,
Thanks again for your help but uploading images link goes to a blank page. Have done a search and a post from andmcit, ( uploading pictures to forum ) came up with a note that you have to put a bar space after the first [IMG]. However my photos from photobucket do not have this, is this due to the "disallowed bb code" you talk of and how do you enable it for future images ?
Sorry to be such a pain but this is all new to me,
Kind regards

There is a checkbox in the Options list on the lower right of the reply box:
Or you can enable it in your profile - Click the dropdown arrow on your username top right above the banner, go to User Control Panel, Board Preferences, Edit Posting Preferences.
As these are generally enabled by default I presumed you had disabled them yourself.
Shout up if any problems - I enabled the images in your post above but the first one does have broken links in it. Fixable but not worth it now.
Click the screenshot images above - will take you to PhotoBucket, where a couple more clicks will give a full size image, hard to see otherwise.

As my son would say, cool. Thanks for the information and can I add for other newbies that you have to select full editor & preview bellow the quick reply window to get the full reply box shown above.

Even better, the "Post Reply" button to the lower left - although I generally use the quick reply box and wish I hadn't.
