If it's not hydraulic suspension then it will be PS fluid. For confirmation of the correct type just go on one the parts suppliers sites, like Euro car parts, enter you reg and select power steering fluid in the search.
Now using '00 Xantia LX HDI, pov spec
My past Citroens :-
'00 Xantia SX HDI, now dead due to accident
'99 Xantia HDI 110 Exclusive, RIP
'97 Xantia TD SX
'96 Xantia TD LX
'96 ZX TD
'89 BX TD
'88 AX GT
'79 CX2400 Pallas (scrapped
)
& a couple of Peugeots !

I'm away from my computer at the moment, but my 2009 C5 on metal suspension takes Total Fluide DA in the PS system, those on hydractive take Total LDS. I think the two fluids are actually the same...... although they're not priced the same !
I can't imagine your 2011 C5 is any different. If your car unexpectedly needs PS fluid then check for a leak on the steering rack.

PSA Specs
PSA S71 2710 .............................................................Total LDS
PSA S71 2710 MAN 3289 Renault PSF Class 1.................Total Flude D
As said, you need to check first for a steel sprung car.

Re: Which power steering fluid HELP!!!!!
The steel sprung and Hydractive cars can have the same pump fitted and do have the same steering racks fitted, so I'm guessing it's a safe bet the LDS can be used on steel sprung PS systems.
ECP don't list any PS fluids for my steel sprung C5.
