Nice car, not sure what it is but I suspect the may be a problem, the engine is pointing the wrong way!! - and has a cylinder missing!!
I am envious, I would really like to play with something like that, an old car that needs some TLC. right hand drive too, what a find!!
Good luck, and can not wait for the finished photos in a couple of years.

Auto Union 981cc, quite zippy when I last drove one but then 'sit up and beg' Ford Populars were the norm
Best hope you don't have to take that cylinder head off, corrosion welded them to the studs worse than C5 rear callipers.

Re: Look what I have just bid on :)
Surprised at that. I'd have thought being a two-stroke that the head would have been off very regularly for decokes and that would have prevented the problem from occurring...Gibbo2286 wrote: Best hope you don't have to take that cylinder head off, corrosion welded them to the studs worse than C5 rear callipers.

Re: Look what I have just bid on :)
I only ever had to do one Jim, that was enough for me, had to buy a special hollow tool to reamer down between the head and the studs and soak in an abundance of plus gas to shift it.CitroJim wrote:Surprised at that.
