Shame...Never realised they'd stopped making them. Idly wondered a while ago about getting one for the Skoda as it would have rounded off the look inside perfectly...

Guess not then!

Like all artificial air 'fresheners' I hate them with a passion.. They used to make me ill in the worst possible way...

In fact even today any air freshener makes me feel ill so it's not just the Feu Orange....

I may hate the product but I love those teeshirts!

With you there Jim.

Chemical spray masks over body smells just makes a "chemical smell body-bomb" !

A cloth bag of pine needles & lavender down near the heater vent works for me.......I will have a "feature" wall in my "space" soon :)

That would work for me too Alasdair :-D

Generally though I prefer scents, like everything in my life, natural and as nature intended. I detest anything artificial...

I'll second that Jim!

Feu Orange king of air freshners?

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

This thread has the honour of being selected at random by the FCF Archives February Ferret 2023 for today Thursday 23rd of February 2023.

Its one of those "punches above its weight" thread's apparently and at one time...
xantia_v6 wrote: 30 Apr 2021, 23:33 On the subject of search bots, if you make a google (or Bing) search on "feu orange" you will always find FCF in the first page of results, the post it links to has always been in the top 10 most clicked links into the forum. Go figure...
Have a flick through the thread, some original images have now disappeared in the passage of time, but see if you can contribute anything new today, images, memories, your air freshener of choice, your detest for the whole air freshener thing, etc, etc.

I do think the mix of nostalgia, their current rarity, the bonkers "pin" thing, the literally hideous smell, the "art" of the packaging does lift the Feu Orange above the current dross of magic trees and little bottles of stuff clagged to the air vents.

I have had a reasonable search and only come up with the two previously posted within this thread so no good!! However I did come across an imitation Feu Orange in a car which may prove a bit iffy to name! :-D

So for my attempt to 'Name that Car with the Feu Orange No. 2'

I give you this :

I think number 2 is as impossible as number 3, neither the round Hazard Warning Light Switch for number 2, or the furry dice for number 3 give any clue! :-D Anyone got a gettable number 4 :?:

Couple more clues in that number 3, the twin knob head unit rings bells - possibly from an early Astra? and the hand wind sunroof likewise but certainly nothing obvious!! :-D
