You get to the front of the motor by unclipping the spring clip behind the glass.
My hazy recollection is that to remove the motor assembly from the housing, you need to remove the back cover, which is the devils own pleasure.
Note that mk1 and mk2 motors have different wiring connections, but are otherwise interchangeable. If you have a passenger mirror with reverse dip (part of the comfort pack and rare on a mk1), then obviously that is different again.
If the glass is tinted bluish then the mirrors are heated, none of mine work yet. I haven't checked the supply but apparently the elements in the glass wear out easily.
I'm prity sure the unheated ones don't have the 2 spade connectors on the back of the glass.
Heated washer jets? What's that all about? I want them.
Probably is a bit optimistic.
Coolant hose or a pair of these it shall be.
I've had neat screenwash freeze many times in the winter winds, don't know why I haven't already done something.
It'd only be on when the stalk was pulled. You're right though, I can pull the stalk for quite some time.
What does this heat exchanger look like? I can 3d print one with a sintered bronze filament.
