I admit to a secret fetish for the Toyota barges, a minty first series LS400 or low miles Toyota Century (in Yakuza black with full tint, of course) would be suitably quirky these days.

The Ambassador seems a bargain at that price as well given the condition. Six hundred quid for the Cutlass Supreme has to be a bargain even if it needs a bit of TLC...the Skoda Rapid convertible seems rather overpriced to me though...especially as there are bits missing, it's showing evidence of rust in the usual places, and judging from the front bumper has had at least something of a knock at some point. Surface rust on the interior components would have me looking nervously at what shape the floor was in too...

Yes ,overall that was a sale of some interesting cars, and the prices reached levels where you could pick a nice little project from a number of contenders.

Referring back up to the White Rover posted up by James above, this Rover 3500 estate from the sale has a quirky look, and plenty of room for your own particular brand of stuff in the back. Looks ideal for boarding out with a sleeping platform to me!

Well, I saw this beauty in Fleet Services today. I had to take photos, my camera phone would have stopped working if I didn't;

Very nice, looks remarkably small and low between the 2 more modern cars either side :)

Autotrader Vehicle check has it as a RED, 1958 JAGUAR UNKNOWN CONVERTIBLE

1958 was a particularly good vintage! Looking at wiki its most likely to be a Jaguar XK150 OTS (open twin seat) Roadster possibly with a 3.4L Straight 6 Engine with Triple Carbs and 250 BHP on tap.

..of course if you want something more workmanlike you could try a Citroen 2cv AZU van 1962 425cc

Couple of days left for bids currently £1860 and plenty of interest

Came across the MorrisLeslie Classic Car Auction while reading the local "Press and Journal" when on holiday up in Nairn.

There was an article about this Bedford Dormobile which had been won in 1963 in a "Press and Journal" Competition and has been owned by the same family ever since, but is now up for auction this Saturday.

Image

Went along to the viewing day, at Errol Airfield about 11 miles from Perth, on our way home and took a few pictures.

Not all the items are likely to go for under £10,000 but the Dormobile Bedford probably will, as will the star of the show for me...the two-tone Humber Sceptre.

The only Citroen in the auction is a DS Convertible with an estimate of £25,000-£30,000 in need of a bit of work!

Will need to go back through this thread in detail shortly and see if there's anything I should add to my potential shopping list.

My late father has left me some money with a very strict instruction of "Do something you otherwise couldn't have with it" and the driveway is the first place I looked (after skimming a good chunk off for the house and family stuff of course).

Have one already at the top of the list, but I'm thinking this through very carefully as it will probably be changing the shape of my motoring for the forseeable future and require a major fleet reshuffle. Probably thinning it out to "that car" and a practical one we can carry the dog and bikes in. My intention is for that to be a Xantia, possibly trading up from my current one to an estate when the right car turns up. At that point I'll make sure my current Xant finds a new home with someone on here.

The current main contender is very, very large, very blue and has been a dream car of mine since I was about ten.

I'm pretty sure that I'm insane to be considering it, buuuuut I never claimed to be smart and you only live once.
