That's a great idea

It could be worth popping into your local Poundland. While I was up in Northampton (whiling away some time before the interview) I found that they were selling side lights and indicator lights for £1 a pair, in AA packaging.

I bought one of their angle grinder stands a couple of years ago - quite nicely made, and a useful thing to have on the bench.
Best to get a cheap grinder to fit on it permanently though, as fitting is a bit of a hassle for the occasional odd job.

Lidl had this in stock, and there might still be some still in stores, that have not shifted yet.

Useful if you have a lockup with no power, and need some light, they are LED, rechargeable and will apparently run for three hours after being charged.

They are weather resistant, and splashproof to IP65, they come with a mains charger, and a cigar lighter charger also.

So I will also be using this if an emergency crops up out on the road to illuminate the vehicle I am in, around at the lockup, and many other uses! 8-)

But what has waffles, peanut butter, a tin of 'all day breakfast' (YUK!) and a pasta snack (more yuk!) got to do with cars?

Well done that man =D> - just think I will stand in the rain, but mild shivering won't burn off that many I guess; so maybe I won't  . Ah the joys of Spring :?

Yes I noticed that was coming as well.

Although giving the way that driving has got worse on the roads, and you can see daft things done out there, I hope that an Aldi customer would not combine a bike with one of those floodlights to see or be seen better, as it would be too bright, wrong aim etc.

However visible you make yourself on a bike makes no difference I find..

I had a couple of pedestrians step out in front of me the other day and even they expressed shock at their own failure to spot me - I was wearing an incredibly bright fluorescent green riding top....

When riding my bike previously, I ended up not using the drinks bottle holder on the frame for its intended purpose.

I needed a loud warning device as the bell, like many is not loud enough.

Therefore a marine air horn tank, and trumpet were used as a much more effective warning, which even a car driver with the windows shut, and listening to music, or on the phone would hear.

Sorry to hear they didn't notice you CitroJim, it would appear the pedestrians were not as bright as your top!
