Great news...coolant leak on the V6Activa....rats !
Had a quick look and its running down the back of the engine, looked at the matrix outlets, new fittings to new plastic so not there it seems. Sticking my flesh into a hot engine \I found no dampness on the expansion tank, BUT there does look like dampness on the Degassing Tank....new is no longer available for Citroen and the one from the V6 looks horrid and ready to blow as well....thoughts on where to get new if poss ?
I take it I go in after removing the Air box and expansion tank...
cheers chappies

Re: Coolant loss
To get at it properly Sticky, you are also advised to remove the inlet manifold... It makes the whole job a lot easier...
It's worrying the degassing tanks are now NFP. They do go..
We may need to get creative...

Re: Coolant loss
Well this put off the MOT and new V5 test...............rats
In the Army we used....NFC (no ------- chance)
The Cossie brigade use these as they have had cooling gas problems as well..they use this design

Any reason why we cannot use this and an alloy header tank, the ones on the car are very simple.

Re: Coolant loss
ALL of the cooling pipes are NFP, including all the water pump/rad side as well.
At the moment I an looking at building all the down deep stuff (which I need to get to now anyway) back together with silicon tube made up to shape with joiners. It may save me going back down there again.
