Xantia Brake Pads

Unread post by tim leech »

Hi Guys

Can anyone confirm what front pads my 1998 S1 2.0 Auto 8v should have, I bought some off eBay from a Citroën dealer (genuine ones) and arranged to have them fitted at my local independent dealer who confirm they are the wrong ones.....although on the box is says all models!

Are they all same for the standard cars like on a BX, and then vented for Activa/V6?

A waste of money on parts and labour.

Later cars have larger discs and caliper carriers.. 1.6 1.8 2.0 8v petrols and D and td, hdi 90 hatchs use one pad.. the v6 and hdi 110s use larger bosch caliper and pads..

Early cars have 266mm discs and later cars P - R reg used 283 discs and larger carrier .. here is where the mistake is made.. i beleve the pad is a bit wider on these but look like the earlier ones..

Estates have always had larger pads of their own size / style different to the hatch ones..
