TBH, you could spend quite a lot driving someone to pick one up to borrow from someone else and then dropping it back afterwards.
As others have said, I'm sure you could buy the kit and then re-sell it on here afterwards for a fair price - they don't come up that often. It's likely what you lost in value would be the same as what it cost you driving about to borrow?
