My dad had an Assam hill Mynah that would sound like a telephone, had a dreadful ear-piercing whistle and would constantly call for Vera Lynn, among others.

Re: CitroJim's Swimathon 2015
Less than a month to go now
Practice has been going well with a swim of just over 1Km completed daily except on those days when I've not been well which have been few...
I'm still keen to receive more sponsors and so will Marie Curie, Well she won't personally as she's been gone for a good bit now but her namesake cancer charity will be..
Sponsor me here at my Swimathon Giving Page
Many thanks indeed from both me and Marie

Re: CitroJim's Swimathon 2015
Just a week away now
This time next Sunday I'll be getting ready for my 2.5Km swim.
It's going to be a busy day: Karate training follwoed by the swim..
Still loads of time to sponsor if not done so already... Marie Curie is an excellent cause...
Sponsor me here...
After the swim Team WFA go to France for our annual works outing and a visit to the Citroen Conservatory...
No, I'm not swimming there. Not this year anyway... Maybe next...

Re: CitroJim's Swimathon 2015
Following some publicity at my work, I'm now up to £440 raised. I'm delighted..
Didn't even think I'd crack my original £180 target.
Don't know about cracked. Smashed to bits more like...
Thank you all so much for your kind and generous donations so far
I swam a mile in practice this morning...

Re: CitroJim's Swimathon 2015
Thanks Malcolm, very appreciated That's put the total up to £495.20 now!!!
Gawd knows why I'm sideways... It's how it came out... I can only imagine it's intended for a picture of you swimming... TRied that but the phone kept getting wet
Just need one more fiver and that's £500 raised... My expectations have been so comprehensively exceeded... To say I'm delighted is a real understatement
