It's certainly progressing at a good rate David, the seats look very nice. I'm a fan of the gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner myself, smells nice too.

Well Fedex turned up this afternoon with another present for the C6. It was the last piece of the puzzle. The one airbag we needed to get finished - the passengers seat airbag.

I'd stripped the seat down yesterday as I was hoping it'd arrive today so half an hour saw it back together.

New airbag fitted...

Seat reassembled, cleaned and treated with 3 coats of leather conditioner...

Both front seats are now refitted into the car, unfortunately they're only held in by the front bolts at the moment though. I need to reconnect the battery to power the motors to slide the seats forward to tighten the rear bolts. I don't want to do this until I've received the airbag ECU back and got everything reconnected.

All I've got left to do now is reconnect the airbag ECU and rebuild the centre console, and then fit the new N/S rear set airbag into it's new trim which should be here tomorrow and the car is finished.

If the ECU and the piece of trim arrive tomorrow then an hour tomorrow evening should see the car finished :)

Well, after 30 minutes in the garage tonight the airbag replacement is finished :)

The piece of trim I was waiting for turned up so I got the N/S/R seat airbag replaced.

All of the airbags have gone back into place perfectly leaving no signs of them ever having been deployed :) The creases in the headlining have become less noticeable as well.

Unfortunately the airbag ECU hasn't come back from having it's crash data erased yet which is annoying as I could have put the centre console back in and have finished it tonight if it had. It's been posted though so it should hopefully be here tomorrow, fingers crossed anyway!

Until tomorrow...

No pictures today... However the airbag ECU came back from being reset so the interior was finished off. The centre console went back together without much fuss.

In fact I'm quite amazed at how easily everything came apart and went back together.

I did have one small problem, when I started the car the airbag warning came on the dashboard. I didn't think much of it as I thought it'd probably need the codes clearing. When plugging the Lexia in I got a fault "LH Side Curtain Airbag Igniter Open Circuit". I took the pillar trim off and found that I'd connected the earth spade terminal to the airbag but I'd left the main plug off.

I disconnected the battery, left it 10 minutes, connected the airbag, reconnected the battery and everything was fine.

I'll get some decent pictures of the car on Sunday as I'm going to Welwyn Garden City for the day tomorrow.

Cheers Mark.

Been a good day, had a chance to catch up with the lads from BL Auto's, been to visit Jim, and manage to resist the urge of buying back my 407 Coupe from Steve!

But of course, and I can confirm he arrived back, spot on the dot, despite waking up at Carlisle and thinking it was Glasgow, but we won't tell anybody about that...... it can be our secret....... :rofl2:

Sod...

I woke up from a daze and heard Glasgow on the tannoy. I assumed it said next stop Glasgow, it didn't... a few seconds later it said we are now arriving at Carlisle! I looked at my phone and realised I had another hour and fifteen minutes to go!

Not to worry... Tea and Coffee was free in 1st Class ;)

Two first class rides then David.. One in a 407 Coupe and another on a train...

I must admit I love riding first class on a decent train.... Mind you, the best seats are in the 407 though. I was well impressed by them...
