Can't beat old school fun. Our 205 is noisy, uncomfortable for me, bumpy, etc but absolutely addictive fun. It's like I'm 20 again when I go our in it.

I know Davie, it's just with all the heartache the Xantia ended up causing, I'm loath to go down that road again........ going to have to have a chat with SWMBO..... 8-[

The problem with the 205 would be there would be no way I could take it on a 400 odd mile trip to come down to any meets. It's great for an hour along my favourite text track/back road but a long cruise in it???? I would need a hospital stop every 50 miles[emoji40] [emoji2]

You may be very surprised with the little Zx Steve, the volcane has quite a decent ride and they handle good too, I've previously had two 1.9i petrol versions and very underrated they were. You could go around cars on the outside on roundabouts like they were on rails, the 16v was harder riding but still ok but with quicker turn in, oh and loads better when the revs got higher.

It's amazing how many wheels and tyres you can get in a coupe  I managed 5.........

The day started with me picking David up at Preston Station from where we set off to BL Autos to collect some wheels for my C6, these being the 'Atlantique' (fitted to the later 3.0 Diesel) to replace my 'Roccastrada' wheels. Whilst at BL, Robert noticed the sucking noise the car has had for a while and immediately knew what the problem was........ yes I missed reconnecting a breather pipe #-o anyway, once we left BL heading for Jim's the engine management light came on again, strange, but french electrics.......

David and arrived at Jim's to the smell of fresh baking cake, so we had a brew and a scone, a good chinwag, then headed for home, first off to drop David at Milton Keynes before I headed up the M6 back to Preston.

On sunday morning I got Peugeot Planet on the car and cleared the faults, gave me a good run over to Southport and back and she has been fine ever since, I can only presume that Robert putting the breather back upset it for a moment or two. a couple of things I have noticed is that she is lot quieter, doesn't idle as fast and the rev's have dropped below normal when doing 70mph, all for the sake of a little pipe

I've decided to sell the Coupe and run the C6 as my daily driver again, everytime I get in the C6 it makes me smile, something the Coupe doesn't do.......... :? Its a shame really it's one of the most comfortable cars I've been in. I will be doing my advert in the next couple of days........ but somebody is going to get a stunning car... =P~

Well, I've nothing on the Peugeot, so tomorrow, she will be getting PX'd for something smaller, It's such a shame, I really like the car, but SWMBO is struggling to open the doors due to a medical condition, so she is going................ it's that simple I'm afraid....... :(

A bit like Jim, I need to move on this before I change my mind and there is not way the C6 is going [-X So if anybody is interested then make me an offer......

Sounds to me you need a small lightweight car Steve. A nice wee C1 or 107 for swmbo. Don't get them as a V6 though. Just get 1/2 an engine [emoji1]

To be honest, Davie, I'm going to look at the DS3....... I've always liked the look of them and the Diesel is really economical........ not sure whether to go brand new or used, I'see whats available

They are nice, I did test drive a diesel one when they were new out. I think that newer ones do have an upgraded engine so hopefully wouldn't suffer the blown turbo issue.
