I had a thing with one of those going back about 10 years. It's not as good as it sounds. She never got over my answer to her query if I was (in her words) "shagging her for her money?" (she was slightly older than I, not a lot though)daviemck2006 wrote:That's why I am not wanting another woman,,,,,, unless she is rich and into cars:D:lol::lol:
"No, but I love driving the Porsches.."
She didn't really have a great sense of humour to be honest.

I'd rather have that than my driver side blowing cold in a snowstorm! No snow yet but had some quite cold nights. Who's taking their dash out first Mike, you or me?

It's only a weekends' work to have the dash out and fix it Mike
I seem to recall Rattiva II had a similar problem in your ownership....

As a blog subject, this car is incredibly dull. It goes, it stops, the radio is a bit rubbish as Chris warned me it was before I bought it, and it averages on the computer 49.8mpg.
That is all.
That is all.

Well, which would you prefer? The Xantia V6, the previous C5 or your current C5? As you have 'Jessica' for excitement (driving, not problems) I would guess the latter, for reliability.

The C5 is a better car than the Xantia, as it should be as it's a much newer design. It'd be nice if it were a V6 but that wouldn't do 49mpg (which by Chris's reckoning is 4mpg short, so actually 53!)
If I buy another big engined petrol car it will have to have over 300bhp or there's just no point. I see many mid-nineties supercharged Jag XJRs for sale for very little...

Re: Mike's C5 110HDi
That's like my c5 Mike. Nothing to report. That's why I had to resort to my own personal maintainance. I've never owned a xantia so I can't compare them but I love the c5. An excellent car.

I shall also be resorting to my own personal maintenance now Sam's started school and my missus is working. That means I'll now have time to book appointments, scans, have surgery again blah blah blah.

Silly question Mike, but have you ever tried an NSD Powerball to help strength your wrists?

Re: Mike's C5 110HDi
No, I've not James. I don't think I've much problem with strength in my wrists, it's just the pain I get from the nerve damage in my elbows that makes them *feel* sore, and a touch of Carpal Tunnel syndrome doesn't help either. That'll have to wait, I need to get my nose and headaches sorted out first. That's going to be more surgery, then likely surgery on my elbow and wrist on my right hand.Hell Razor5543 wrote:Silly question Mike, but have you ever tried an NSD Powerball to help strength your wrists?
