@CitroJim - After all these years, guess what I found?

Post by MikeT »

Hey, do you remember me reporting back to you after collecting the Actia Diag2000 I won on ebay and we found it was missing the all-important connectors and all the consequent faffing around getting the pinouts so I could make my own?

Well I just stumbled across this pic of storage I never knew existed

Image

and guess what I found in mine? #-o

I've got one of those ... time to open it up eh ...
No, I have the blue Peugeot Diag2000 version. I found the two right side cables as depicted in the photo but not sure I have the left-side one. Did you find any surprises in yours, Mike?

I'm pretty sure I did ask way back when, I'm sure I did. Maybe not you specifically Malc but it's a moot point now unless you have the left-most cable you don't want? What I could do with is a way to re-install Lexia2 as mine's now corrupted. I have CD37 (and I think an earlier version) but can't figure out how to load/install it.

Mind you, even with nothing there those storage hooks are going to come in useful. I've got a boxful of cables for who knows what cars. Came with the workstation and most are non-xantia. I just hoard these things :D

Whats that leftmost cable for?
maybe you have all/some of the drop out box's/cables as well

i had a citrojim convert one of my DIAG 2000's to a DIS--LEXIA2, he striped it down to its chassis and instaled a laptop hard drive loaded with DIS--LEXIA software

IIRC, Jim also ghosted the Lexia2 image to a laptop drive I provided but I'm darned if I can find a copy of that image.

Re the cables, seems I jumped the gun and the new-found four are still not the main global test cables - malcolm, you still offering to give me yours?

And as if "The Tao" wasn't done mocking me... (me, the one who is quick to admonish those who fail to RTFM before asking for my time to help) I only found in the back of the Diag handbook a full pinout guide to the two main cables. #-o

Aww shucks, never mind :-D

I don't really need it but would good to have the main car OBD -> Diag D-way (two-part I think) as a backup as my DIY version is not built to last like the originals.
