Thanks for extracting the above pic and for the additional full 51 points :) 8-).
That was from our last summer's visit to Paris Disney. Those cars (as well as H-Van) were used in the movie "102 Dalmatians". The exact location is in the Paris Disney Studios area.

Item location Sussex? Would this be near Chez Malcolm by any chance?

It will be an interesting watch to see what it fetches. It would save the buyer quite a bit of effort and expense of sourcing one from France, and whatever state they are in they seem to be fetching good prices, and you would have to do the restoration job of body and mechanicals regardless unless you paid top dollar for one that had already been done. No bids yet starting bid £4,000.

Saw one on Sunday - N/B on the M6 around Penrith, on the back of a trailer, presumably on the way for restoration. No piccie, as the photographer, aka SWMBO, was asleep

Re: 2cv's and HVans

I guess that has a good chance to be 2CV City then?

I stumbled across it and posted this on page 6 of the thread.
NewcastleFalcon wrote:Looks like 2CV's and HVans make good partners.

Earlier in the thread there was the

The 2CV Shop at Sutton Veny, Wiltshire doing a bit of dabbling in Citroen H Vans.

2CV Shop

and now I discover that up north ( well Bradford to be precise) we have

2CV City

Of course Bradford is the deep South for me, but I may just pay "2CV City" a visit next time I am down in Yorkshire.

The H Van is a wonderful blank canvas for a nice paint job, and I think I am drawn towards the two tone schemes. Here is a nice pair from 2CV City, I particularly like the yellow one with a white roof.

and I did like James' (Hell-Razor) Reading Ice Cream van.

Also discovered an interesting link-its a triumph spitfire engine stripping down and rebuilding itself to the "Hall of the Mountain King" by Grieg (think Alton Towers advert). Nice twist at the end.

Yes its a Triumph, but I had one of those once upon a time!

[edit-Shame link is not working at the moment......] Just found it on youtube

Yes 2cv city is my brothers.I brought an H van back from france with him not long ago. They seem to sell really well after restoration.I'm sure they will be happy to see you if you do call in,He usually has plenty about down there. He sticks a different engine in gives them more power,Original engine is slow.

There's another Citroen H-Van in the North East. This one turned up at the NewcastleGateshead EAT Festival.

Can't claim any points though, but my daughters when out and about, are pretty good Citroen H Van Spotters now!

Malcolm, have you been to le Mans for your holidays?

Big Chief I Spy has asked me for verification purposes if you could just confirm that the fingers in the top left corner are your own!
