Sidelights & wipers coming on when not asked to means the BSI has lost communication with the Com2000 unit. My first thoughts on this are a faulty Com2000 (lighting & wiper stalk)

Yes it can cause a non start situation, the receiver for the immobiliser goes through this unit.Lukefergusonc2 wrote:But would that cause the car not to start I'm so confused

Be careful with the airbag mechanism when you disconnect everything.

the OP says "its not a fuse",
but maybe there are hidden maxi fuses under the main engine bay fuse box, so if the OP dud not know of this possibility there could maybe still be a fuse poped

Re: Citroen c2 won't start and lights and wipers are going c
If your car has ESP the steering angle sensor in the com2000 will need to be programmed with Lexia, if not then its plug & play.
And yes best to confirm power supplies & earth before jumping in & replacing the unit, the problems described can also be a short or open circuit in the data wires between the com2000 & the under bonnet fusebox.
