Problem with rear suspension

Unread post by KennyW »

Afternoon All,

I've just fitted a new rear bracket between anti roll bar and HCas a result of a broken link, suspension dropped (see previous thread).
I cannot get the rear suspension to rise and fall at all. What's happened :?:
I need to fit new sphere's to rear (3)

Had time to think and my next question is, Has the height corrector seized.

I'm going to remove same and give it a good clean.

Will it rise and fall using the manual adjustment lever near the handbrake?

If it will, then quite possible the new clamp is nowhere near the right position on the anti roll bar. It can be a fiddle to get it in roughly the right place to start with.

Always a good idea to clean the linkage mechanism off the car, it can be removed without disconnecting hydraulic pipes on the height corrector.

Good luck :)

Quick update, the HC was seized and with some lubrication and judicial use of an adjuster I have got it to move.

Next the spheres, I think I will leave these until next weekend when I can get access to a hydraulic ramp.
