They also state that Dyson are the only people using this type of motor, a bit of a stretch.

his telly add states the motor spins at 110,000rpm,
i would have thought that would melt the plastic vacuum cleaner body,
they also state there vacuum cleaners never block,

Hmmm...
I wonder how they balance the armature to the necessary tolerances for that speed, and fit precision bearings, at 'consumer' prices.
Edit: I've clearly misunderstood how conventional motors work; never realised that the rotation was created by sparking of the brushes
