10x faster than a jet engine?
How does a rotating motor relate to a reaction thrust engine?
Apples and banananananas.

I'm sure it works and is fast but whoever wrote that was just making stuff up.

They also state that Dyson are the only people using this type of motor, a bit of a stretch.
TRW use them in electrical steering systems, just one example.

Mr Dy has a habit of "talking himself up"....the cyclone filter was developed in Germany for tank air cleaners in tropical use...unique my ARSE

Not mentioning his BIG local government grant...then 2 years latter buggering off to Malaysia !....not the nicest of neighbors

his telly add states the motor spins at 110,000rpm,
i would have thought that would melt the plastic vacuum cleaner body,

they also state there vacuum cleaners never block,
i have seen a few blocked,

Hmmm...
I wonder how they balance the armature to the necessary tolerances for that speed, and fit precision bearings, at 'consumer' prices. :roll:

Edit: I've clearly misunderstood how conventional motors work; never realised that the rotation was created by sparking of the brushes :rofl2:
