There's a recent thread with that info in it Roger - IIRC it was 7mm.

Re: Leaky HP Pump
It's permanently fixed in a holding cradle about the size of a 1p coin, the ball is about 4mm I would guess. Hopefully it's still in there. A post Mandrake put up had an excellent diagram of the pump which shows them clearly. I forgot to put mine on low and lost 3 litres of LHM when I did this job recently, you'll love the result when you've done it. On full flow the ball bearing and cradle did rise up a bit but didn't fall out. The second one, after the flood had abated remained firmly in place. If one has come out study that diagram to make sure it's not fitted upside down when you re assemble

Re: Leaky HP Pump
That's the one Simon. Thanks.
Rothgar, in the diagram you can see the ball and cradle under the spring. Hope you get it sorted out.
Cheers

Re: Leaky HP Pump
Luckily had a spare pump. So twagged the ball bearing from that one.
I remember turning the cylinder upside down (not having stripped one down before I did not realise the bearing was in there).
It's tiny. Probably 2 / 3mm.

Re: Leaky HP Pump
Problem was I had to get Sylv to drive 30 miles to get it to me.
