You can eliminate the interior motion sensors by pressing the button on the L H side of the dash until the led lights up and them lock as usual.
Someone with more knowledge than me will advise further, no doubt.

Do you have access to lexia ? you can go into the memory of the CPH & see the last 15 things that triggered the alarm, chances are its either faulty ultrasonic sensors or a dodgy/loose bonnet switch.

Or a dodgy boot switch...

Allan, it's easy. Do an normal diagnosis with the Lexia and choose, I think, "Protection"* from the main diagnostic menu. That'll take you to the CPH.

Don't read or erase any faults before selecting "Last 15 Alarm Operates" from the menu. Selecting that will give you a report of the last 15 alarms and what caused them.

If you erase faults before going here then you'll erase the list...

* Someone correct me if I'm wrong please :)

That's correct, if you erase the faults it will also erase the log of alarm activation causes.

It won't let you erase faults until after they have been read, but it doesn't care whether you have read the alarm activations first so you could loose them if you don't check them first.

If it does turn out to be the ultrasonic sensors here is a long detailed thread showing my diagnosis and repair of the ultrasonic sensors on my car:

http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... =3&t=41002" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Still working perfectly with zero false alarms over a year later. :)

Jim, I had a go with the Lexia today switched on and for the first time it asked for the RPO no. plus the Vin no. which I entered didnt ask for the model of car just went straight to 4 options I went to click on faults but clicked the one above which I think was directory did'nt know what to do then so shut it all down and started again but this time it asked for the model of car and only the vin no. went to diagnostics and scrolled to Protection but that just came up with the Air bags gave up at that went back just know and it wouldnt read anything no dialog so as I am going out I have had to give up.Sorry to be so long winded about this hope you can help please

If you can wait a bit Allan I'll drag mine out and give guidance on what to do properly.. be a few days mind.

It must be one of the other menus... Simon, can you recall which the CPH is in?

Not off the top of my head Jim, without going out in the cold and hooking the Lexia up... :twisted:

Allan, if you can't find it just go into global test instead of test by function, it will take a couple of minutes to scan all the ECU's but the CPH will be near the bottom of the list - you can select it from there.
