P2 Xantia Lower door hinge, how best to repair??

Morning all,
discovered the reason behind the passenger door dropping when opened yesterday, appears that the lower hinge has been hiding some rust form me!! looks like its cracked all around the weld on the visible side and underneath too,






looking at it, is it going to be a case of clean up and reweld or a Plate around it?? as not being a welder myself, i'd like the best options so i know what to clean up and preped and arrange to get it done by my welder chap?? - am aware it'll be a door off job!

We did mine earlier this year, remove wing, close door, release demon mig welder.

i would clean it up bridge weld, then plate across as well

You need to fuse the 2mm internal stiffener to the A pillar pressing and the hinge metal. This- to do properly - requires good understanding of welding.
