Built around the Carpet, I think

Three and a half hours' work to this stage (carpets full of antifreeze and spilled coffee). Will reassemble over next weekend.

Can't figure out how to split the evaporator housing - must be hidden screws somewhere.

Yea, but what car is it? Sorry, in British Slang a motor (or mota if you're under 20 and drive a Corsa) refers to the whole car, not just the engine..

Cars are also slangly referred to as 'wheels'

I see all the clues, too much product knowledge for saying I've not been there since 06/07 ?

They look like later* 306 pedals. The plastic 'encased' gearknob suggests commercial use. Looking at the bit of the door handle late model, plexed one. Earlier models had 306 type handles usually.

My Guess: This is a Berlingo / Partner or the Fiat equivalent ;)

*Only very early RHD 306's had 205 / 309 square pedals.

Keep up Jim ;) :P just kidding. :-D

Phonetically, if following the populist regression to a faux lower-classes London accent, one might say Nice li'uw mo'er...

Andy is right; it's Freddy, the endearingly bruised red Berlingo.

There should be an FCF anorak, complete with picked eggs motif on the breast pocket.

So, how do you think the heater box comes apart? Got me stumped.

Are there any "empty" screw type holes present ?

I remember something about the C3 one (I think) where you had to 'snap' the clips off and then put some self tapping screws into the provided holes to fix it back together.

Thinking again I seem to remember late 206 heater matrix's / evap were a bit like that if I'm not mistaken.

There cannot be much holding it together assuming you cannot slide the evap out. I'd (carefully with a small screwdriver) examine the jointing area with gentle prising to see.
Andy.

I want to know what the French call a heater box. Don't seem to get a lot of bites for "boitier chauffage".

It's stuck (fastened) somewhere near the TX valve area. Really need a borescope to see up the back of it - want to leave the evap hanging and slip the case halves off it for a scrub-up.

Boitier I think.

Checked by finding it on my Peugeot (near enough) parts data then finding it again with it defaulted to French. Note that its likely a different one though as there were several choices but at least you have the names now (1) and (2)

See pic:

EDIT... Let me know if you want a more detailed pic I did that in a hurry, should be able to get a decent size one in a bit if needed.

I've been doing exactly the same (looking in French).

I think actually, not many French can be arsed pulling the heater box out.
