Tuning box HDI 110 C5

Unread post by jgra1 »

all, brought a tuning box from someone on here(was in for sale section)
Have a longish journey over weekend, would be good to fit it before I go..

where should I stick it?

The is jsut a 3 pin male and seperate female connector - just need to know where to put them..
seems there is a plug going into the fuel rail , underneath it.. could this be the place..
would be bad to disable the car by getting it wrong..

I think that's the one John - the box just modulates the signal for the rail pressure to the ECU - this gives a higher rail pressure and therfore more fuel for a set opening time = bigger bang and more go. I sure read about Paul doing it - releasing the connector was not to hard, putting it back, on the other hand

I have a box on my HDi, however, its NOT a rail pressure fooling device. Not sure which is the best sort.

The box I have connects to the battery + and - terminals, and theres a harness that then connects inbetween the cars injector plugs and corresponding injector plug. A little like an LPG sequentail harness on an injected car.

Its been on for 90k now and had no issues at all ..

Can you post a good pic or two of your box John, might help diagnose connection. The connection to the fuel rail sensor which is the sonsor pointing downwards, should be three Pin..

fitted ., what a pig getting the 3 pin back in.. headtorch and dark.. but took 20 mins to throw it on..
will tidy tomorrow#

set on 10, and with the light set to green not red, it is a noticeable difference.. especially from 1500 -2500.. get a real kick in top 4 gears.. 1st serves no purpose anymore really... not that I ever used it much
will see what economy it does on a run to Dorset tomorrow
