Re: GEEEE'z what an adventure!
The G is much happier now with a NOS alternator I bought from a friend and I've been darting about in it a little this last couple of weeks. On Sunday just gone it went up to Cheddar Gorge on a joint CCC South West and North Somerset Tin Snails outing. We were supposed to be going to Berrow Beach but it was postponed late Saturday afternoon due to the weather, probably for the best really as even the small amounts of time we were standing around Cheddar it was a bit nippy.
The company was fantastic, makes these little outings really. We had 3 2CVs, 1 GSA, 1 GS Estate and a CX meet at Burnham-on-Sea Tesco then trundled across up the gorge, turned around at the top and came down again before parking up and having lunch in Tuckers Fish and Chip Restaurant. A couple people went off home afterwards, a few of us had a nosey around the caves before going back to a 2CVers for tea and chocolate cake.
I do have a couple of photos a friend took but I'm having a bit of trouble getting in to my Photobucket account at the moment, the password reset jobby doesn't seem to be playing ball.
Off to Bournemouth for this weekend in the Xantia, going to see Ken Dodd live

Next time you go to Burnham-on-Sea, about a couple of hundred yards in from the motorway junction is a farm on the left that does truly AWESOME scrumpy cider, at less than £10 for 5l. It ain't chemical, it's natural.

Re: GEEEE'z what an adventure!
Here are some photos from the Cheddar Gorge run last Sunday.
Climbing up the gorge the slinky slid across the dash, this must have been after we took the rubix cube off.

French parking.

Cheddar Cheese maturing in the caves.

Re: GEEEE'z what an adventure!
Sorry Malcolm, her
Does this mean I have to sacrifice some gallivanting around on the continent with Mr Salter time?
Well not quite a snail trail, there was a bit of a smell of petrol going up though which turned out to be a split return hose from the carb. As it was only around 1cm long I chopped the end off and put it back on. She
was much better after that.

It's a nylock mesmeriser, it stops the nearside wiper from getting nervous and shaking on motorways. You can find them next to the sky hooks in most decent DIY shops.citronut wrote:ps.

Re: GEEEE'z what an adventure!
And here are some photos from 17th March when me, Mr Salter and Mr Bradshaw went across to Arras, France for the weekend. We went to some more war sites on the Saturday and Arras car show on the Sunday.
