Have you checked Fleabay lately? There's often old stock of C5 spheres going for £40 and upwards. Again, though - it pays to have a pressure tester.

Yes, but it does include fitting, so removal is not an issue.

it says on the site they will check yours so you may not need to replace them all

i think you had better ask the advice of the more experiaced hydroactive people on here for that advice mine is the basic hydractive i think yours will be the plus system. but i have changed them on a xantia i had a few years ago cant be any worse than that i,ll bring the lexia to depressurse the system when needed

Back is soft, front hard, but still harsh over bumps at back

Specify the C5 one as a Xantia/XM one won't fit, the C5 spheres are larger. Removal and refitting are more or less the same as the Xantia except you have to depressurise the system which involves some plastic pipe and a container, although when you do the front ones the bleed nipple is quite near the fluid reservoir so with a short length of pipe you can bleed the fluid off straight back into the reservoir.
