No it's not normal. How many seconds does it take ?evlo wrote:Winter has come here, and with temperatures between -20 and -10 C (-4 to 14F) shifting between R and D takes some time. "N" LED in dashboard indicator is flashing when it is changing gear and then it smoothly changes. Is this normal? It is quite annoying when reversing from parking space into street with traffic ...
You don't say what country you're in, but most of the forum members are in the UK, and we never see temperatures as low as -20 degrees, so probably nobody here has driven their V6 at -20 degrees.... Normally the gear position indicator LED flashing means that the gear lever is partially between two positions, so it might be a problem with the multifunction switch attached to the gear lever, although why it would only happen in cold I don't know.
Looking at the live input data from driver controls and sensors on a Lexia might give you some clues on what is happening.
