Welcome to the FCF Jaine, where thread hijacks and drifting off-topic is pretty normal stuff  :-D

Most threads do retain their topic after a while but I'm a firm believer that it makes a forum interesting and enjoyable. A bit like a pleasant natter over a pint in a comfy old pub.

You'll never find a great deal of moderation happens here as it's very rarely considered necessary although each and every thread is observed very carefully by the admin and moderation team who are always very much in evidence...

You must come and meet us all at one of our gatherings. A lot of us on here are very good and long-time friends outside the confines of the forum.

I've been on very heavily moderated forums and I find them horrible and sterile places...

EDIT: as Xac says and he's an administrator

Glad you feel welcome, as Jim says, the FCF strives to have an atmosphere like a friendly pub (BYOB of course).

That's great Jaine, you had me worried for a minute there

And I bet that exhaust fits better than a standard one too. I remember the time I went mad in in quest for originality on my GTi and got hold of a genuine original system. It was a devil to fit and I don't think the back box ever sealed properly

Now, you need to listen to a V6 Xantia fitted with the slightly iffy* pattern back box on full chat with the sport button pressed.

It sounds like a symphony 8-)

* We believe they're incorrectly made as one tailpipe is in direct communication with the inlet and it therefore becomes a straight-through silencer. Whatever, it sounds absolutely gorgeous :-D

From what I see yours are far from that :-D

No, I know CGAT's owner will mind not at all. In fact it's been a great discussion so far on our thoughts on modified cars and using CGAT and LAF as just two examples of the art...

Jaine, how do you like this Popular?

I spotted it at a car meet in 2011 and it just blew me away 8-)

It has a V8 under the bonnet :)

This was my Clio 172 & was one of the first modified ones, I imported the wheels from USA & had all the black plastic colour coded. Lowered 30mml with tints, induction & other stuff I can't remember. It won a couple of shows in it's time.
What do you think?

Nicely done, enough to make it individual and not over the top, tidy looking car that.

Ay up!

That looks very nice, especially those wheels. Good on yer!

Anyway, as has been said, we always hijack threads.

That photo...I think I recognise the area. I was thinking somewhere on this fantastic road on the Isle of Skye to start off with.
http://goo.gl/maps/cJEuk but now I'm thinking Cheddar Gorge.

Looks like Cheddar Gorge to me! Roads like that here, are much emptier - you can weigh up the odds of meeting a rozzer and proceed accordingly (it's best when you have just passed them, and they are going the other way).
