Xantia transponder keys

to mediate here isnt it a case of not reprogramming the transponder but merely telling the engine ecu/bsi to accept a different one?

Well it must be, I'd suspect the locksmith knew he couldn't make up a transponder key as the car wouldn't recognise it.

The locksmith did make me a working key for my car which was coded to the car, He was adiment with me that you cant re code old keys which where nt from there original car.
Its interesting that DickieG has recoded old cars from other cars as thats what i want done, as i said i have a key i bought from a scrap car ! I will bow to his better knowledge
