Query, my fuel gauge is working and then not.
What could be the likely causes
I'm going to check the wiring in case it is fault or the gauge itself.
Hoping to get a friends garage at the weekend to do some of the other jobs so advice please.
Kenny

The Give away Richard, is the need to thump the dash..DickieG wrote:Whether the instrument panel at fault will depend the source of the fault, for instance when I bought the Activa that Jim now has, after starting the gauge would slowly descend to the bottom as if the car was doing single figures MPG. The cause was the fuel tank sender unit.
Quite, the original poster KennyW makes no mention of thumping the dash hence my postcitroenxm wrote:The Give away Richard, is the need to thump the dash..DickieG wrote:Whether the instrument panel at fault will depend the source of the fault, for instance when I bought the Activa that Jim now has, after starting the gauge would slowly descend to the bottom as if the car was doing single figures MPG.
