Could be a can of worms but could be something relatively simple,
check, connection on the coolant pipes a loose connection will allow the gas to escape,
wiring plug come off the compressor,
electromagnetic compressor clutch stuck or fallen off,
if its none of these then i think you would have to entrust it to a dealer or autoelectrician as correct me if im wrong such a new car has climate control and any air con ouput would be regulated by a thermostat of some sort

If the compressor kicks in, it’s a good start and it may only need a re-gas.
Even with low gas and compressor running, you should hear a slight hiss from the centre vents.
If the compressor is not running, the gas pressure may be very low and an aircon mob will have to test for that.

yes its climate control. I can hear the compressor kick in so I'll check the fuse and if not that then into the dealers again !

I would suggest that a good independent A/C technician would be better value than a Citroen dealer for this job.

Did quick-fit not put in a coloured die to help find the leak?

A machine cant always detect a leak. The correct way to test for leak, in addition to using dye, is to leave high pressure on the system overnight and then see in the morning how much it dropped.

A really silly thing could be the schraeder valves themselves! As long as the coupling is on, the valve doesnt leak, right? And then you leave the shop, and *fissssssss* :-)

quick fit have no ac engineers they put it on a machine and press go. leak checking is done by the machine pulling a small vac this alone can seal a leak and not detect it. the only way to find a leak is with the system pressurized. introduce dye use a leak detector a good ac engineer will allways check for leaks in a state of deep vac and at pressure.

FWIW, my aircon guy tested for gas in the C5 and found none, then tested with nitrogen and we both heard, quite clearly, the hissing of gas from near/at the condensor.

No need for a stealer, just a qualified aircon guy who knows what he's doing.

Does anyone now where the relay for the aircon clutch is located on a c5 tourer? Is there a relay or is it an output from the ECU? Does anyone have any info on the location on the pressure switches on the aircon unit? My unit isn't working and I've found that the electric clutch isn't getting a signal to pull in. Trying to establish if it's just not getting the signal due to a relay or similar or if it's being stopped by a pressure switch, too high or too low. Any help would be appreciated
