Hi all,

I am about to purchase a Hymer motorhome fitted with a Peugoet 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine.

Am I correct in that it is a CX engine that is fitted?

Is there anything I should be checking?

Depends on the year but its quite likely. Good engine those unless you get one with a pourous block as I was unfortunate enough to, I think it only affects the turbo's but results in frequent failure of the head gasket - still a nice engine though.

I have just had second thought about that, the CX engine was as far as I know only used by Citroen, the Peugeot 2.5 engine is different and was used in the Granada apart from the 504. That was the XD series of engines.
