The light does go off and stays off, it only comes on irregularly. The dodgy brake symptoms occur as before, at low speeds. :?
I bet that's due to the air-gap being too wide.

Finally! After a year of sourcing parts and tinkering, i also have a sphere pressure tester!

And here she is...

I have tested a few spheres, including a complety blown accumulator!
The best two are some original citroen ones, which have 20+30 bar respectively, think ill keep these as emergency spares or for regassing and bin the others!

Fantastic Dave :D Excellent!

I love the gauge support :D

You'll find a pressure tester is as valuable as a Lexia. A hydraulic Lexia in fact...

I guess you found how messy blown spheres are when they spill loads of LHM over the tester

Good to see another home made tester.

How do you recharge spheres? I suspect mine are past their best.

Lets just say i was rudely introduced!

On the topic of regassing spheres, to be honest im not sure, Pleides perhaps? I have heard of people buying there own regassing rigs, which makes sense if you have a fair few citroens!

Nice little tester that, should come in very handy :)

We have a tester made from a rear GS suspension leg and a tank to pressurise. Its very well used!

We do have regassing gear, which is from my dads days as a Citroen specialist. WHich also comes in handy and we still do the very odd few Citroens for old customers.

We rent a gas bottle, which is quite expensive to do. So were stopping the rent and using our own bottle.

I was also planning to bring my tester along as well... And my Lexia.

I reckon there should be mains available in the clubhouse for laptop charging Dave...

I've always been interested to have a look at a regassing rig Chris. Never seen one :( Can you post up some pictures?

Good finds Dave :D

I like the Japanese blokes' protective headgear. Not sure the H and S boys would approve

Are you coming to the DSM in your XM Dave?

I've got an in car 240 volt inverter/converter thingy which you're welcome to use over the weekend :)

I'm quite excited to get back into rally season again, particularly looking forward to the Saturday lunchtime outing :D

doesnt say how much it is either................or the rather smart looking sphere tester, i think it may be an "if you have to as you cant afford it" thing :(
Looing forward to the CXM rally, never been to any rally before so it will be an experience indeed, i want to see some CX's in the flesh :D

Certainly will Jim, its the only car other than the xantia which is currently road worthy!
Hopefully ill start work on the Cx 2.5td in september.

Cheers Kev, i have bought an invertor from ebay but doubt it will arrive in time as its from china!

It would be interesting to find out how much the devices for regassing cost!
