Xantia heater is intermittent

Unread post by Napoleon »

Hi all,

Our Xantia's heater is playing up. Sometimes it simply does not come on, and sometimes it does. So I presume we're talking about a connection problem here, as opposed to a fuse gone somewhere.

Presumably you mean the heater blower? In which case a forum search on Xantia, blower, and relay ought to turn up a few hits

Is it this age/model that has problems with the ignition switch contacts failing, where some members have fitted relay into circuit? As Richard suggests, search the Forum. Think you'll find quite a few posts. Happy reading!

Theres a good sticky in the "supersticky" all about blowers Tim.

That should make a good starting point...

Ignition switch has to be a suspect, especially if your Heated Rear Window shows up to be a bit dodgy too...
