hydraulic connector?

Anyone know where i can get hold of a 1/4 BSP connector to 4.5mm connection for my pressure tester?
I have everything but its been on hold for months as i need this connector!

One option is to get hold of a metal diesel injector pipe and braze that onto the 4.5mm pipe.

Any good hydraulic specialist should be able to make that. I would mention Pirtek only they can be silly expensive. If you have an industrial estate with an hydraulic service shop I would try them. . Duncan Rodgers may have a place near you and may be worth a try for lots of fittings. Hydrasun is another supplier.

According to Jim the thread on a diesel injector pipe union is the same as on a gauge.

I think you will find that airline fittings also use the same size and thread.

The 1/4 BSP is no problem , as long as u specify male or female , but what do u exactly mean by 4.5MM ?

4.5mm hydraulic nut size, to enable fitting the pressur guage to the hydraulic system I would imagine

Spot on, i have a 4.5mm pipe coming out of the regulator that needs to go to be connected to the pressure guage which is 1/4 bsp!
Will have to look up a hydraulic specialist in norwich.

So is that a piece of 4.5mm tube projecting from the regulator , or , do u mean there is a female thread in regulator that takes a male threaded pipe nut ?
If it is the latter , u do not need to be concerned with the 4.5MM aspect , in fact I can tell u almost for sure that won't be available as it is a Citroen special. What u need to know is what size the thread in the regulator is.
I'm pretty sure it's 10 x 1 MM. So You need a 1/4 BSP male or female to suit your gauge to a 10 x 1 male. That may be available as a single adaptor but it may have to be made up from 2 to handle the step in sizes.

In the Citroen hydraulic test kit it is part no. P455-21.
It consists of a rubber pipe about 400mm long with swaged female unions at each end. One end is threaded to take 4.5mm Citroen pipe with rubber seal.
The other end has 1/4 in pipe thread for the pressure gauge.
There is also a 4.5mm male to 3.5mm male converter pipe in the kit.
This looks to be made by brazing the two pipe ends into a short length of slightly larger diameter pipe.
To make up a temporary pipe before I aquired the kit I picked an airline fitting threaded 1/4in one end to suit the gauge and a long spigot for airline hose the other end. The hole in this spigot accepted a good length of the 4.5mm pipe with an ideal clearance for silver soldering. Brazing would have been better but the solder held fine.
