Is this a fuel water drain? (Xantia 90Hdi)

Took off the engine covers for the first time when I changed the oil/filter last week (have covered 1800miles since then!).
I noticed what I suspect is the fuel filter - quite a large unit with what might be a drain (a large knurled plastic knob) coming out of it.
Should I be doing anything with this?

That`s for priming/draining your filter as you have no rubber bulb like the XUD. It is a totally different procedure on the HDI and is done using the electric pump through the ignition switch IIRC.
