Front brake hoses
Can anyone confirm that GSF part N65717 is the correct length front brake hose for a Xant V6? I'm currently overhauling the whole brake system and while the hoses look ok, for the sake of an extra £8 a side I thought I may as well replace them while I'm in there.

Goodridge Hoses - Stainless Steel - Xantia
Found these the other day, not sure if they would fit a V6 but they might be able to find some that do.

Ah right, so there are only two different lengths, so buy the longest one
As an aside, I note that the calipers are manufactured by Bendix, although it's often mentioned that the V6's were fitted with Bosch calipers
Or are they the same thing

The "proper" braided sheath hoses are lined with either 30 or 40 thou wall thickness Teflon. Neither fluid type will touch it. However, the relative fragility of a Teflon liner vs rubberlike synth polymers is why it's so critical not to stretch or kink them.

I laughed at this. For someone (me) espousing their endlessly "immature" behaviour I actually dislike lifting the bonnet or showing off the underpinnings of a car, more than is actually needed...Mmmm very tarty

Well I replaced the hoses with standard fitment items from GSF and I'm glad I did because when removed i discovered they are very perished up at the bulkhead end, though this is very hard to see in situ with the spring sheath in the way. The caliper end looks fine so a bit deceptive. I guess they've given good service though at 10 years old and 108k miles.
