Got my omp strut brace powdercoated blue & fitted
Me new t28 turned up last week, cossie 60trim t3 cover & .49ar t25 exhaust housing, 360 thrust bearing & 31 actuator
T28 compared to stg1 hybrid.
Anyway got it fitted & it turns out to be a bag of s**t, smokes like you wouldn't believe. Oil pissing into the exhaust, that bad it was causing the oil pressure to drop on the engine by 10lb.
I think its down to a reconditioned core & poor tolerances on the turbine piston ring.
Its going back tomorrow, pissed me off as i was looking forward to upping the boost this weekend. To be honest im in two minds whether to tell them to stick it & get my money back, i need it to be reliable might go for a brand new garrett gt series. Refitted my old t2 thats done about 100k hard miles and everything is good again.
On the plus side when i took it for a run even though it was like the red arrows behind me it went very well even at 12lb boost, so when i finally get a good unit should see some decent power. Also the exhaust is mega loud on boost with the bigger rear housing on the turbo, definately not track friendly well over the 100db mark lol.

Went out lastnight & staarted setting the fuelling/boost up, goes quite well. Had to make a catch tank quickly so an empty 1ltr bottle of robinsons has been used
Didn't go too mad at first, set it to a bar which revealed the afr was boderline lean, Have altered the jetting today & its a lot richer now on wide open throttle so 20psi should be no problem.
A pic of the tools for the job, a must for any turbo car owner if upping the boost, innovative motorsport lm1 & mechanics stethoscope bolted to the head.
Wideband lambda sensor on downpipe
Pic of the new turbo fitted, spot the pikey catch tank.

Been to pod & back this weekend, 14.6@89 on slicks, 14.8@91 on road tyres. 600 miles, 15 hard runs down the strip & its never missed a beat, really pleased
The engine is making good power, shame it ain't as aerodynamic as a car, id be into the 13s no bother. Still loads of fun to drive though!
A few pics..
Vids of it in action

Well its been on the road for a while now, have used & abused it with no problems at all, quite chuffed really. Only had a couple of issues, Front shockers totally shagged, bouncy as you like & brakes worked ok, but fade pretty bad after hard braking. Outer cv joints were both a bit clicky so changed both shafts too.
Taking it on track this weekend at Mallory park, so splashed out & fitted a new set of top adjustable koni yellows up front & mintex 1144 pads, feels miles better to drive now, braking & handling/ride improved 100%.
Also fitted the heatshield on the inlet manifold, to see if it cures the slight hesitation that it has after idling for a while when hot, probably fuel evaporating. Fitted some reflective heatproof tape on the underside, whether this will help or not i don't know, was cheap so gave it a try.

A few of pics from Mallory park
Only had a couple of sessions on track, got black flagged for oil leaking onto the exhaust out of the sump seal so need to sort that. On the plus side it handles & stops very well, just like driving a car on track really, great fun
As the motor has been bullet proof bar oil leak since fitting it going to tune it a bit more. Next step is a cam & vernier, piper valve springs & a couple of engine breather mods.

Just had a set of genuine clio williams 15x7j speedline alloys blasted/powdercoated anthracite at romax so i can take the turbines off for winter.
Picked them up cheap'ish, Half polished/corroded alloy, paint flaking, super bald/slashed tyres, all were unkerbed/straight though.
Before pics...
After pics....
Quite pleased with them. Wasn't 100% whether the shape of the alloys would suit the van but imo they look good. Nice & low maintenance compared to polishing the outer lip on the turbines every week to stop corrosion.
Fitted 195/45/15 toyo proxes 4rf, cheap enough for full set new off ebay. Seem pretty good now there scrubbed in a bit. Only need a new set of centre caps to finish them off, will have to wait considering the price £16 ish each!

Had it on the rolling road at motorscope, 161 hp @ fly, 146lb torque. They said its the first ever van on their rollers lol.
Expect a few big updates to this thread in the next few weeks, will be pulling the engine out to fit my hot cam & give it a freshen up. Got all the parts ready just waiting for slightly better weather.

The turbine alloys are off a ph1 clio 16v. Summer wheels off my gtt, got them refurbed 4 years ago, nightmare to keep on top of in winter the diamond cut edge corrodes really fast.
