scenic clutch problem

hi guys

i have a problem with the clutch/gearbox on my 99 1.6 scenic when i first start off from cold everything is fine then after she gets warmed up the gearchanging gets hard, notchy is the word but can still change gears i was wondering if there was anyway can i adjust the clutch cable on my car as its not hydrulic ive found the cable but can see no way of adjusting it.

there must be someone out there who can help me with this its a 99 scenic (old shape 1.6) and the clutch is not hydrulic it has a cable and i just need to know how to adjust the cable

hi Pete, I cant help with clutch cable

but check/change oil in box, as a heat related change problem sounds more like oil to me...

thanks for your reply ill get the gearbox oil checked and topped up tomorrow see if it cures the problem

HI I had a similar problem about a year ago, then i changed the gearbox oil for some premium stuff and problem solved.

My scenic had done about 58000miles when i changed the oil and im now well in to the high 70K area with absolutly no issues

the gearbox oil costs about £10 to £15 per liter tho and you will need to buy 4 liters as its a 3.5liter box.
