there is a program called citroen: the french connection, on men and motors tonight at 7pm on ntl (channel 404), maybe on telewaet and sky too.

On the subject of freevier TV is anyone else experiencing picture breakup during the current high pressure weather?

My reception is a bit marginal, I've got a rather large aerial and a 26db masthead amplifier fitted and if the weather isn't right I lose some channels but generally not all.

If you've got the big aerial pointed in the right direction and you have an amplifier (masthead high gain) there isn't a whole lot else you can do. Make sure that the downlead (and any connections) from aerial to digibox is good and that there isn't anything else connected to the aerial that doesn't need to be. Video recorder passthroughs EAT signal, anything that splits the signal will eat half of it too.

Thanks Kowalski, I have an approved aerial for freeview, good co-axial and a booster down at ground level which then splits to my TV and PVR as your experience some channels seem unaffected while others are not, It will not be totally satisfactory when the terrestrial signal goes off though, mind you we are now used to the super picture quality when it is working properly.

Eliminate all connectors in the downlead if possible (use a continuous length of high quality coax cable from aerial to box), and put the splitter (if you need it) after the Freeview box. Even minor phase disturbances can play havoc with the digital signal, so it's best to do all you can to preserve phase integrity as well as signal strength.

Yeah, looked interesting, although I only caught the last 15 minutes of it - just as they were showing a wankel-engined Citroen helicopter.

It's on again at 3am if anybody else missed it.

It was OK. Any programme on the gogglebox that even mentions the 'C' word has got to be good.

Not that I'm TOTALLY BIASED or anything , but I think green Xantiae are VERY lovely, especially when they ARE an Activa!!

Yes the activa is in the program........................for 5 seconds (no joke).

I thought the program was for Citroen enthusiasts for the days where the company were different and technologically advanced, i found it a tad boring as im far to young to have been driving DS and the like. unsurprisingly the xantia, xsara, c2,c5 etc did not feature much.
