406 odo problem

check your worm and pinion on sensor and in box ,count number of teeth on both then go to your dealer and check with there parts system laser and see if you have the correct one fitted.i have changed al4 gearbox and it has come with the wrong drive in gearbox.if your car has had a gearbox change in its live that could be the problem.the bsi only see's a signal from sensor so cannot be this has to be gearing ratios in gearbox /sensor pinion.also if sagem type sensor fitted change for eaton type sagem ones are a problem.

i've told u that i had changed two new solenoid valves(main oil pressure and convertor lock valve), but nobody think this result in worng mileage.pugxpert wrote:check your worm and pinion on sensor and in box ,count number of teeth on both then go to your dealer and check with there parts system laser and see if you have the correct one fitted.i have changed al4 gearbox and it has come with the wrong drive in gearbox.if your car has had a gearbox change in its live that could be the problem.the bsi only see's a signal from sensor so cannot be this has to be gearing ratios in gearbox /sensor pinion.also if sagem type sensor fitted change for eaton type sagem ones are a problem.
However, the new solenoid valves are Borg Warner type, the shift oil pressure is from 2.4-2.8 up to 2.8-3.05. Besides, the two valves are not compatible with the ECU of my gearbox, i didn't upgrade ECU so far yet, so i'm not sure if these would cause the problem.
Do you also think of the problem of ratio?
no the solenoid valves will not effect your speedo!!!!!!!!!!!! speedo drive is taken of differential so speed of diff determines speed of car solenoid valves just regulate oil pressure within the gearbox.Again check the drive worm and pinion are correct on gearbox for your model of car!!
