Post by thrappit »

Sorry to bore you with this chaps, not yet got a new battery will get that tomorrow, i put the battery on charge today and the charger was reading that it pretty much fully charged, now when i put this on the car none of the electrics that draw power want to work and the symptoms point towards a flat battery, surely this is the case, is there anything else that could show the results the im having [:0] as you can probably guess i lknow NOTHING about cars and you guys are my saviors cheers again!!

It still looks as though you have a duff battery. It's so duff that it won't accept a charge. If the car starts readily on a jump start, there can't be much wrong with anything else. When you get the new battery on it, check that the output of the alternator is correct.

Well done - I hope you'll act on the last bit of advice. Get the alternator to battery output checked. If it's over-charging, it could be why your battery got b*******.
