If you have a Lexia and the 4 digit code can you code keys

Hello ,

On a Xsara (Phase 1), if you do a complete engine swap or injection pump change, then your ignition key will show an error and you pump will not work.

If you have a Lexia and the 4 digit code specific to your car (from Citroen), then can you re-code your pump or ignition key ?

We ask this because we don't have a Lexia and want to be sure it can be done before we buy one.

Its a DW8 engine, old engine has a Lucas pump and the new one has a Bosch.

Swap the pump and injectors!!!

Its NOT hard, and far cheaper then buying a lexia. OK The bosch pump is more durable but for the sake of buying a Lexia I wouldn;t Id swap pumps...

REMEBER THIS THOUGH: If you do swap pumps, when you get the pump off the back plate, SWAP all three Pump locating dowls to the opposite of the three holes!!! You'll see what I mean when you get the pump off!!!

Swapping pumps is an option for us.

However, we are tempted to finally buy a Lexia. We have 4 Xsaras in the family and a Peugeot 406.

All diesel, all pre-2002 .

We have a spare Desktop PC in the garage - Windows XP , Pentium 4 - will a Lexia run happily with that ?

Also , does this look like a good buy ?

Its ok, but anything earlyer then 1998 needs the 30 pin connector plug, which doesnt; seem to be in this kit..

That PC sounds like it should be surfice to run Lexia/PP2000
