Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hi, been a 2003 Clo Dci 80 owner for 3 years 70mpg and reliable 103K

Just bought a 2005 C5 1.6 Hdi, thats doing 60mpg !! best ride ever and Ive had Jags !!

Hello,

I currently own a 2008 X7 C5 Exclusive and 1999 Peugeot 206 GLX at the moment. I'm not adversed to owning anything French and the headaches that come with them. (I've owned 4 Renault Laguna II's).

I'm also not too afraid of attacking anything with a set of tools. I even tried retro fitting a Sat Nav into a 2001 Laguna, not a good idea....

Oh, dear. What have I let myself in for?

Suppose my car history speaks for itself:
5 x Renault Laguna II's, Peugeot 406 Executive, Renault Clio mk2, Peugeot 206, 2 x Citroen Xantia sensations, Citroen X7 C5 (almost as big a money pit as one of the 1.9Dci Laguna's). I've had it 12 months and spent more on it than the 2 yrs previously with a 16yr...

There were three CX wagons from Finland on the Raid Arctique last year. We enjoyed their company even though there were some language issues - they had limited English and of course we spoke no Finnish. One memorable morning we travelled in convoy for fifty or so kms - four wagons in a row.

Disregarding the 2CV which I've had years & sleeps in a parallel universe I'm quite new to l'autos Francais or, at least owning/running one.

About 3 months ago I got a C15 which is not even a model supported by this forum, but under that model specific box & Visa front end it's a regular PSA parts bin special PLUS the forums that seemed more...

Hi, just bought a 2002 C5 estate last week, love the car but one or two issues have become noticeable, nothing that cant be sorted out! have to say the C5 is a world away from my other car,(Corvette) talk about chalk and cheese! I needed a load lugger and the Citroen does the job effortlessly, what a cracking car!

I've got an S2 Xantia 1.8 16v, it was my daily drive but after misbehaving with a brake judder and a career change it has been resigned to sitting in the corner of my workshop. Just joined the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I have brought a 206 SW Dturbo as my daily driver a while back and I have just started on sorting out a few of the problems it has got and then it should be up and running as my daily driver.

Yes, definitely a rear axle swap job... It was a very common failing on the 205 too... Once they're wonky it's a specialist job to fix them.

You need to be careful over what you swap to depending on disc or drum rears as the stub axles are different....

Hi just swapped my Citroen Picasso Xsara for a 2005 1.6 HDI C3. Hopefully i made the right choice... Should be saving some money on my petrol and already saved almost £200 on the tax :-D

Hello from Oxford have just purchased a 60 plate C3 Picasso VTR+ and so far so good. although I was disapointed to find I must have one of the very few without Bluetooth, I thought it was standard but obviously wrong. Never mind my mistake. 8-)

Thanks for the add.

In the past 15+ years I have had several Pug 405 diesels and for the last 11 I had a Y reg 2.0 hdi C5 that has now gone to the big scrapyard in the sky. Although the engine pulled like a train everything else was going wrong and so I took her around the back of the barn and put her down.

Now I have a 54 1.6 HDI C5 that came...
