Drag racing xantia

Post by shiney »

Hi
Had the spheres replaced much smoother ride and my teeth are settling nicely back into their sockets[:D]
BUT .. when I pull away the back end dips like a drag racer and comes back up.
It was done by a garage. I have done the citaerobics and its still the same.
Is this a normal behaviour ? and if so how can I fix it?
thanks

As far as I am aware that is completely normal and what the car should be like when the suspension is functioning properly! well I hope so cause thats how mine was a while back when I had the spheres replaced and still is to some degree, the back doesn't drop as much any more which I guess is due to the suspenion stiffing up as the spheres have steadily lost pressure!

Hi Shiney,
Perhaps that the garage has put the front spheres on the rear and vis`a`versa did it to my BX once and the rear was very soft.

The front spheres have more gas (pressure) in them, which they need to carry more weight. More gas means softer suspension. As the gas leaks out of the spheres, the suspension gets harder.
