After looking at this forum I realise that the hissing my Xantia's hydraulic system makes is normal although mine hisses every 10 seconds when idling at the normal drive setting.
What do I need to check?

Continuous hiss is usually caused by the PR never reaching cutout pressure, maybe because either the bleed ball valve or, if it never clicks, the non-return valve in the PR need reseating (hitting with a drift!)
